Stolen Motorcycles
SCAM WARNING

My father listed his Harley for sale and was approached by a man who wanted to buy the bike.
This person claimed he was a motorcycle collector from South Africa, and he would have someone from the US send a check to my father for the price of the bike plus an additional $4,000.

This $4,000 difference was to be wired immediately to him in South Africa. My father did this and has never heard from the guy since. The check he got was reported as lost/stolen.

These type of individuals prey on people who are trusting.
Our bank told us the $4,000 is gone forever. They also said that this is a common scam affecting many people.

Please use caution if someone approaches you with a similar offer.
