MyAddressBook is a JavaScript utility that allows you to keep a record of contacts right at your fingertips. You can launch the address book at any time by clicking My Address Book on the SwapMeet navigation bar.

Your browser's "Cookies" and "JavaScript" options must be enabled for MyAddressBook to work.

Please take a minute to practice before you make any lengthy entries to avoid deleting or losing data.

After launching MyAddressBook—which runs in a "remote" window so you can keep it in the background if necessary—click NEW and enter a name in the name field for testing purposes. After typing the name click the SAVE THIS INFO button on the bottom of the form.

You can add, change or delete data of any record at any time. To do this you must bring up the record you want to edit. To save the changes you must click the SAVE THIS INFO button, otherwise the changes will not take place.

To enter a new record click the NEW button at the bottom of the form and type the info. Again, click the SAVE THIS INFO button to save the new record.

At the bottom of the form there are navigation buttons that allow you to find entries. Records are saved in the order in which they were entered. The window below the navigation buttons shows the number of entries.

You can close MyAddressBook at any time by clicking the EXIT button at the bottom of the form. The data is saved in your computer through a cookie.

Note: every time you launch MyAddressBook, a blank form appears. If you type and save data without first clicking NEW, you will overwrite the first record. We haven't figured a way to keep this from happening so keep this in mind. ALWAYS click the NEW button to enter new data, then click SAVE THIS INFO.

The window is re-sizable so you can adjust it to fit your monitor. The suggested minimum resolution is 800x600 pixels.

Known bug:
Do not use http:// when entering Web Page info, instead just type the domain name. For example you can type either www.motorcycleshopper.com or motorcycleshopper.com. Again, DO NOT type http://www.motorcycleshopper.com as this will corrupt the address book.
